The 2004 Sumatra-Andaman earthquake. The tsunami heights measured by field surveys are shown by red bars (NOAA NGDC Tsunami Database). The yellow circles and beach ball show the one-day aftershocks and the focal mechanism. Computed tsunami fronts are shown for every hour. Black arrows indicate the direction and speed of Indo-Australian plate. Past earthquakes with their occurrence year and magnitudes are also shown with filled polygons and ovals.
