a, b An inscription (b) on the so-called “Goldenes Dachl” (Golden Roof) (a), an Innsbruck landmark, serves as a reminder of the big quake on July 17th, 1670. The inscription, attached in 1671, is written in the form of a chronogram and reports on the many earthquakes (foreshocks, main shock, aftershocks) of the last year (1670/71) and of the restoration work after the great earthquake of 1670
